City lights flicker like dreams on a wire, I sip the night, tasting fire. The world spins quietly beneath my feet, And I wonder what I’ve yet to meet The world is wide, and oh, so bright, More than what’s in my line of sight. So I’ll break the bars, let silence fall, And learn that I’ve known nothing at all A feather falls from the open sky, A sign to spread my wings and fly. The cage was comfort, but not my fate, There’s so much left I’ve yet to create. "Step outside, don't be afraid, The unknown is a friend in shades. What you seek is seeking you too... Let the jazz carry you through." The world is vast, and shining true, With colors I never even knew. I’ll break the cage, I’ll hear the call, And smile— knowing nothing at all.
